So why is agencyPlus so groundbreaking, what’s this hype about smart-client, and what does all this have to do with the versions that are available? Well, other than the comprehensive feature list that has been built into agencyPlus that no other application can match, there is one other very important fact about the result of Insurecom’s investment and software development.

Insurecom haven’t built a ‘from the ground up’ amazing application. We’ve built two. agencyPlus is in fact two distinct applications. One application, which is 100% .Net, is the agencyPlus workstation application that sits on a basic PC. It has some logic rules, controls the user interface, and allows simple, supremely powerful operation. It even holds certain information in its cache, making it quite smart (smart-client!)

The other application is our agencyPlus Server, which is a 100% SQL 2005 instruction manager, business controller and database, and sits on a standard Windows Server. This holds the rest of the business logic and secures business data.

The two applications together make up the agencyPlus broker management package. There are no charges for use of the agencyPlus server, so you won’t see a price for this anywhere.

No matter what ‘version’ your situation requires, they are all the same agencyPlus, and the applications are identical. Either you host the server (Enterprise Edition), or we provide a fully managed server environment (Managed ASP or Private ASP). There’s no separate or special software to make our ASP environment work – which is the benefit of using the industry’s most modern architecture. In fact, for multi-office brokers, if you have a server in your head office you’re automatically able to provide your own secure ASP service to any of your satellite offices. Groundbreaking.
