The Insurecom Portal
Insurecom’s rating service, the Insurecom Portal, is a market leading application, which provides Insurers and product providers the ability to distribute products to Brokers using industry standards for both Personal and Commercial Lines business.
 
Insurecom’s unique Insurer-tools facility enables Insurers to react to market trends by giving them full control over their products, without intervention from Insurecom and provides the ability the change rates in real-time as opposed to the traditional 4-6 week lead-in times.
 
Third Party Data
For many years, Insurecom has linked to the Postcode Address File (PAF) and the DVLA to provide both Brokers and Insurers with accurate, clean data for addresses and motor vehicles.
 
In 2009, Insurecom became the first Software provider to access Aviva’s ARI motor rates, which uses third party data for the purposes of helping with the rating process.
 
As more Insurers become increasingly sophisticated and begin to use additional data to assist with rating, Insurecom has entered into a joint venture with Insurance Initiatives to provide links to the claims database and to credit referencing agencies.
 
The Insurecom Portal also has the ability to link to other external databases to assist with Insurers rating processes.
 
Management Information
Over 500 Brokers now rely on the Insurecom Portal for the purpose of obtaining quotes and placing business with Insurers.
 
Subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act, Confidentiality and Competition Law, Insurecom can provide Insurers and product providers with a range of real-time Management Information, for example, number of quotes, average premiums and conversion rates.
 
Rating Services
The Insurecom Portal is a separate application and as such can be integrated with other back-office systems for rating and/or fulfilment.
 
As well as all Insurecom back-office applications, the Insurecom Portal already provides these services for a number of companies, including Coversure, the UK’s leading Insurance Broking franchise operation.
